    Democritus

    Democritus
The scientist primarily responsible for this model was Democritus. This model was adopted around 460 bc. He once said "If you break a piece of matter in half, and then in half again, how many breaks will you have to make before you can break no further"? There was no experiment done for this.

    Aristotle

    Aristotle
Aristotle was responsible for his model.
He came up with it around 400 BC.
He said that there was four elements fire, air, earth, and water.
    There was no experiment.
  • John Dalton

    John Dalton
The scientist primarily responsible for the Billard Ball Model is John Dalton. This model was founded in 1803. His model answered what the atom looked like and explained that it was a solid figure.
  • Henri Becquerel

    Henri Becquerel
Henri Becquerel is responsible for this model of the atom. This model was founded in 1896. This was founded because it answered the question on how radioactivity acted and if the rays curved or were straight. He used x-rays and they appeared to emonate from the area of a glass vacum tube made out of fluorescent, when struck by a beam of cathode rays.
  • Robert Millikan

    Robert Millikan
Milikan was responsible for this model.
    Was adopted in 1909.
It answered and discovered how much a charge on an atom can effect it's gravity.
The Oil Drop Experiment was done to prove this.
  • Ernest Rutherford

    Ernest Rutherford
Ernest Rutherford was responsible for this model.
    It was adopted in 1911.
It showed that an atom has an electron cloud and that the atom looks more like a gas than a solid figure.
The Ray Tube experiment was done to prove this model.
  • J.J Thomson

    J.J Thomson
He was responsible for this model.
    It was adopted 1911.
His model cleared the questioning if the electron existed. Also explained that the electrons were inside the atom and didn't orbit around it out the outside.
The Ray Tube experiment was done to prove this.
  • Neils Bohr

    Neils Bohr
Neils Bohr was responsible for this model.
    It was adopted in 1913.
His model explained the quantum of energy.
His model was called the Bohr-Sommerfield Model.
  • Quantum Model

    Quantum Model
Erwin Schrodinger was the first one to come up with this model. It was founded in1925. The Compton Effect experiment was used to prove this model.
  • James Chadwick

    James Chadwick
Marie and Pierre Currie were responsible for this.
    It was adopted in 1932.
James used Marrie's and Pierrie's Compton Effect to discover the neutron. His model also answered the existence of the neutron. The Compton Effect was used to prove this model.
  • Marie and Pierre Curie

    Marie and Pierre Curie
These two scientists are responsible for the atom.
    It was adopted in 1932.
This model discovered the neutron but Marrie and Perrie Curie didn't have enough evidence to convince others and the fact that they didn't know what they discovered was the neutron.
They used the compton effect to prove the model.
