Hitler rose to power

  • War Guilt Clause

    At the end of WW1 Germany was forced to sign the War Guilt Clause which stated that it was Germanies fault alone for the war. They were also restricted on their military size. This helped hitler rise to power because they knew they needed their best leader to command such a small army.
  • The French Occupation of The Ruhr

    The Germans were falling behind on their reputation taxes claiming that it was to much of a burden. The French then marched into Germany and took a part of their land called Ruhr, Germanies main coal and steel mines. Germany knew that peacful negotiations were not a choice.
  • Hyperinflation

    After Ruhr was taken Germany was really strugling. Emigration from Germany tripled and suicide rates skyrocketed. This was when a promising man named Adolf Hitler rose to power.
  • The rise of German communism

    Communism in Germany was supported by about 10-15% of the population the rest considered it a threat. The Nazies spread rumers that communism was a huge threat so the commuinst could not rise to power
  • The stock market crash of 1929

    Germany was hit hard by the stock market crash with nearly six million people that were unemployed by 1933, Hitler was happy with this becasue people were starting to doubt their democratic leaders so they had room to start trusting in him
  • The Barmat scandle

    Germany had leaders that were caught taking bribes and an investigation took place. It turned out that germany invested in the Barmat brothers to double their money but they failed. The leaders were kicked off the councel and the Nazies took action proposing that their leaders took their place. The Barmat brothers happened to be Jewish so the Nazies started making news papers talking about how corrupt Jews are.
  • The election of Hitler

    Hitler became the main candidate to lead Germany. He was finally elected which increased his power over Germany greatly
  • The growing hate of Jews

    Germany had not always been welcoming to Jews and by the time the barmat brothers scandle happened over 6 million people were supportive of the Nazie plan.
  • The ban of political competition

    This bill was proposed by Hitler that stated that he could create laws without the approval of other politicos parties giving him ultimate power of Germany.
  • Democrate leaders fall out of power

    at this point hitler was a huge leader in germany and with most of the leaders dropping out of leadership he was able to come into complete power.
