    Christpher Columbus found America in 1492, even though Christopher Columbus really ment to go to India for medicines and supplies and wanted to trade the medicines for spices. He was an explorer and made four trips across the alantic ocean. But Christopher Columbus was also a cruel person because he inslaved the indians and he came to america in the 15 century. The ships that came with him was the niña, Pinta and the Santa Maria.

There were also dieeases that people got on the mayflower and the diseases were called scurvy, tuberculosis and pneumonia.

Robert Fulton helped with the trasportation by building steam boats. In the 1800's this was being used but by 1840 the nation had 3,000 Miles of canals. Robert Fulton made steam boats because it would be easier and faster and more organized to bring the goods in steam boats.
