Oct 18, 1805 Lewis and Clark traveled over harsh enviorment to the Columbia River. Nov 7, 1805 William finishes his journal entry with "..ocean in view!" Aug 11, 1806 Lewis was shot by a member of his own party. Sep 23, 1806 The expedition ends in St. Louis after 2 years, 4 months, and 10 days. Mar 12, 1807 Jefferson appoints Lewis as the governer of Louisiana.
