Teach America is formed and serves the lower class students who are mainly from different cultures. Teachers help students sucseed and provided a higher quality education that would not normally be offered to some. -

This Act increased funding for bilingual and immigrant education. The Act impacted mulitculutral education by providing the necessary funding for better education withing the minority groups. -

Georgia becomes the first state to offer universal preschool to all. It impacts multicultural education because it give everyone the opportunity to get a quality pre k education. -
Oakland and Ebonics
Oakland declares Ebonics as an official language for African Americans. This affected multicultural education and opened the door to tackle problems in involving african Americans in the education system. -
Two FREE years of College
President Obama signs a bill allowing for 2 free years of college. This impacts multicultural education because it gives ethnicities who are usually lower class the opportunitiy to further thier education.
