Japan expanded their land all the way to Alaska but this didnt last for long. The US won some battles and over time and they lost many islands because they had such a large empire. -
Hiroshima gets atomic bombed.
The Americans dropped the first atomic bomb in the city of Hiroshima, then dropped a second bomb in Nagaski. Japan and the United States fought each other for three years, but Japan didn't surrender. So when they dropped the atomic bomb, thousands of people died from the atomic bomb and they finally surrendered.
