    After the Revolution on Mexico, their government was unable to improve the lives of their citizens, leaving them to need to migrate elsewhere to find work and a better oppurtunity for their families.

    Border patrol was created which had an affect on Mexican workers migrating to the United States. Though they were not seen as illegal aliens, undocumented workers were seen as fugitives.

    Bracero Program

    Millons of Mexican workers allowed into the United States to work in the farms due to the need during World War 2. This program allowed Mexican workers to work here temporarily as ranchers and farmers.

    During the great depression, the US government ordered search and seizures of illegal Mexican workers. The INS estimates that over 1,300,000 illegal immigrants were sent back to Mexico at this time.
