    Leland Sanford - $25,000 Bet
    Sanford was the governer of California in 1878. He made a bet with Eadwared Muybridge for $25,000 about whether horses' hooves all lifted off the ground when running. Sanford had someone built a shed and put 12 different cameras in it to capture 12 pictures of the horse tunning at different times. Sanford put all of the photos together and he ended up winning.
