    CGI or also known as Computer Generated Imagery was used in the 1990's in Sci-fi and animation primarily.The films Terminator 2 and Judgement Day saw use of the technology to show futuristic models which helped the budget greatly and saw less use of practical effects.The film Toy Story used CGI to animate the characters and have them do actions which were harder to be done by hand.
