Each women may have morning dresses, afternoon dresses, evening gowns, and simpler dresses that were not worn in special occations. Women also wore suits, with shirtwaists (blouses), and had sporting clothes for when they were more active and doing sport like skating, cycling, and tennis. The suits were coordinated jackets and long skirts, and were made by ladies’ tailors rather than by dressmakers.

Centred around London's thriving pop music, art and fashion scene, the mod lifestyle focused on innovation and the 'new'.

A very popular night dress would be a halter neck dress, this was most popular and was full of style and elegance for an evning out.

That just about sums up how crazy some fashion ideas were. As more and more women were going to work there was something called power dressing.outragous hair and spicky shoes were considered "OK".Most of these ideas came from various music and films, this really changes our idea of fashion.

Jeans, coloured tights, jean jackets and leather jackets with shoulder pads still can be worn today, well if you really wanted to. In the 1990s colour and huge structure pieces was still very bright and quite inventive. After some of the American films some of the most popular ideas were belly button piercings and jean skirts.
