The main factor that the printing press brought to this new world of communications was a new method of fast mass production. Books and newspapers were able to be copied much faster, more rapidly, and much cheaper.

    The printing press created a new medium for the public sphere and also setting the basis for communications. Small companies were now able to pay to use these machines to make copies of their works so they could make money and at the same time the owner of the printing press also made money. This changed how companies worked and it is the same today as it was back then. This method changed everything everyone knew back then and paved a new way for the growing public sphere.

The printing press opened new doors to new inventions and ways iof thinkning to the way we communicate with one another. Different public goods as well as private benifits were created in this new public sphere which also helped create new milestones in communication.

    The Telegraph provided the first step towards a new technological era moving away from the old print-based era. It no longer made transportation a key factor in communication. News was able to be sent all over the country in only a few moments. Big bussinesses and the military were able to stay in constant contact with each other and continue growing. The Telegraph paved the way toward new discoveries in technological communication.

    The invention of the Telephone greatly impacted how imformation was able to be communicated with one another. The Telephones was the first to be able to actualy use word of mouth with another person across the country other than through a piece of paper. This was one of the first steps in a paper-less era of communication that was avalible to the country.

    The invention of the Radio came from the idea of the Telegraph and the Telephone. This new invention was the next step in the direction of a new era of communication. The Radio allowed for information to be spread out all over the country by word of mouth instead of paper, just another step in the direction of paper-less communication. The Radio also allowed for big companies to expand and sell space to smaller companies to spread their voice.

    The penny press was much cheaper for small newpspapers to print their information. This also let the newspaper companies make more money because they could print their papers for less money and they could get their information localy so they wouldn't have to spend more money.
  • Television

    Television
    The invention of the Television was the first of visual media in its history. The Television allowed for information as well as entertainment to be spread right to people's homes. There was nothing of this kind ever before and it continued to show our country as well as the world that we were taking huge leaps in the direction of a paper-less era of communication.
