A report made my Ronald Reagan that proved American Schools were underachieving. Advocated for change and new standardization in the American education system. Because of this report and the change it caused, we have a more competitive education system.

The No Child Left Behind Act was meant to bridge the gap between wealthy suburban schools and poorer inner city schools by providing additional funding to schools in need. Because of the additional funding, test scores have improved.
