People came to the land that is now America around aprox. 14,00 B.C. -
First Succsesful Settlement
This is when pigrims landed in Plymouth, when they started to create the first succsessful American colony, Jamestown. -
The Start of the Civil War
The American Civil War started in 1661 on April 12. The cause of the war was that some states wanted slavery and seperated from the US to form the Confederacy, but some states, the Union, wanted to stop slavery. -
When the Revolutionary War Started
The Revolutionary War started on April 19th, 1775, when nine people died in Lexington, Massachusettes. -
America Becomes a Country
America becomes a country with the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. -
Emancipation Proclamation Is Signed
The Emancipation Proclamation is signed on Janurary 1st, 1863 by President Lincoln, to free all slaves in the Confederacy. -
American Civil War Ends
The American Civil War ends, resulting in the victory of the union and the abolishment of slavery. -
Titanic Sinks
On April 14, 1912, the Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean.
The sinking of the Titanic led to better protocol for lifeboats and passanger safety. -
WWI Ends
On November 11th, 1918, World War Two ends with the victory of the Allies. -
Great Depression Starts
The Great Depression started on October 29th, 1929 with the stock market crash. -
WWII Starts
World War Two started on September 1st, 1939. -
Pearl Harbor
On December 7th, 1941, Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese, bringing America into the World War Two. -
WWII Ends
World War Two ended on August 15th, 1945 with the victory of the Allied Powers. After the Second World War, the UN (United Nations) was formed to prevent further World Wars. -
Nine Eleven
On September 11th, 2001, usually refered to as 9/11, the Twin Towers were destroyed by two planes flown into the Twin Towers by Al Quada. Also on Nine Eleven, another plane was flown ito a field, belived to be heading to the White House.
