Adolfo Hitler, leader of the National Socialist Party (NAZI), was appointed Chancellor by President Paul von Hindenburg. He annulled the opposition parties, formed his own police (SA, GESTAPO, SS, SD) and before the silence of Europe, Hitler began his policy of expansion.

The Munich Pact was an agreement proposed and signed by Germany, Italy, France and Great Britain, whereby France and England accepted Hitler's territorial demands, transferring the Sudeten at the cost of Czechoslovakia. With this policy of appeasement they sought to guarantee peace.
