    Married to a canadian trader and was captured soon after. Her name was Sacagewea. She was signifigant because she was one of the main people on the expedition because she hunted,good food and shelter supllies. And she had a baby and even when she had the baby she was still a hard worker

    Sacagawea gives birth
    Sacagawea gives birth to baby boy, Jean Baptiste. After Sacagewea had the baby she still was still strong and led the people to find land, food and shelter.
  • Comes across Great Fall of the Mssouri.

    Comes across Great Fall of the Mssouri.
    Lewis come across the Great Falls of Missouri. He also discovers four more waterfalls upstream. The expedition will have to portage over eighteeen miles taking nearly a moth to get past. Discovering the great fall of Missouri was a big event because no one else found it.

    Lewis discovers a village
    Discovers a village of Shoshines and tries to negotiate for horses. Clark and the rest of the expedition arrives and it is discovered that the Shoshone chief Cameahwait is Sacagewea brother. Lewis and Clark named the site Camp Fortunate. After Sacagewea found her brother he styed where he was located before.

    Columbia River and everything south of it.
    After they find the Columbia River, by the majority vote the expedition decides to cross to the south side of the Columbia River to build winter quarters. No one else have found the Columbia river and this was a big impact because their hard work had paid off.

    Fort Clastop is presented to the Clastop India, for which it is named, and the expedition begins the journey home.
  • 70 miles per day

    70 miles per day
    With Missisouri behind them, they are able to cover over 70 miles per day. Expedition begins meeting boats of American traders heading upriver. Having to walk 70 mikes per day must have been hard because they perserveared and strided to find their way back home.
  • National Heroes

    National Heroes
    After Lewis and Clark finally reach St. Louis, they are treated as national heroes, they retrn to Washington DC. The men receive double pay and 320 acres of land as a reward. Lewis is named governor of the Louisiana Terriory, Clark is made Indian agent for the West and brigadier general of the territory's militia. They're work paid off.
