    In the market place chapter the crowd of the town come and see Hester come out of the prison doors with her infant in her arms and then walk through the market place. While she is walking she has to wear an A which represents adultery. She has to wear the bright red A for the rest of her life. When she is walking through the market place she felt shame but looked confident while she walked up to the platform for her to be on display for all the people to see and remind them to not commit adulter
  • The Recognition

    The Recognition
    The recognition chapter talks about hester still holding her child up on the platform. She identifies her husband out in the crowd that is still there watching her. Her husband did not keep his promise and shipped her to America. While he disipered. He was dressed in traditional European clothes. He tells her not to tell the people who he is and that they are married.
  • The Interview

    The Interview
    Hester finds out in this chapter that her husband is calling himself Roger Chillingsworth. She finds this out because the high up people called Roger Chillingsworth to go down and see if Hester needs any medical attention. Roger trys to give Hester a cup that is full of medicine, but Hester turns it down because she thinks that it is poison. Roger also trys to get her to tell who her lover is or the one she had the kid with. Hester still wont back down and will not tell him.
  • Hester and Her Needle

    After serveal months have gone by Hester is finally realeased from the prison. She is free to leave Boston, but she wants to stay because she wants her crime that she has done to stay there with her. She moves just outside of the town and she goes into needle working witch is her talent. She makes things for the govenor even though puritans are not allowed to have fancy things. She is also is still shunned from the rest and people look at her as an example of what not to do. She feels shame for
  • The Governor's Hall

    In this chapter Hester pays a vist to the govenor's mansion. She has 2 objectives that she is going there for, and they are to find out if they are going to take Pearl away from Hester. The other is to give the govenor his hand made ornate gloves that Hester has made for him. They say that some of the towns people and even the govenor think that Pearl might be a half demon child. They think that if she is a demon child then they need to take her away for Hester to be okay.
  • Another View of Hester

    Hester is becoming more active in the society and she starts bringing food to the doors of poor, she nurses the sick, and she also is a source of aid in times of trouble. In this chapter there is still people that see her as an object of what not to do or an example, and some others see the letter A on her chest a symbolic term for able. Hester changes in this chapter as well. She thinks that she is no longer a passionate women but a women who has something bad following her shadows.
  • Hester and the Physician

    Hester says to Chillingsworth that he needs to quit tormenting the minister or Dimmesdale. Hester and Chillingworth meet up with each other while Hester is picking flowers for Chillingsworth's medicine. Chillingsworth tells Hester with a smirk that he has heard great things from the ministers that say they might let her take the letter off, but chillingsworth will not do it becasue she says that it can not be removed by human hands but it has to fall of by it self.
  • Hester and Pearl

    While Hester and Pearl are on the beach Hester goes and tries to find Pearl. While doing so she thinks about how much she hates Chillingsworth, which is a sin but she does not care. When she finds Pearl, Pearl was wearing a green eelgrass letter A on her chest just like Hester and she connects it to Dimmesdale holding his chest. Hester was going to explain what the letter A was an what was going on but she is to young so she doesn't

    In this cahpter it start with Hester and Dimmesdale in the forest and they meet and they hold hands and sit down near a book. Hester tells Dimmesdale the Chillingsworth is her husband. This news makes Dimmesdale act wierd or it brings out the darkness inside of him. Dimmesdale begins to condem her but then he stops, becasue Hester falls and Hugs him with her chest and scarlet letter to Dimmesdales face.
  • A Flood of Sunshine

    In this chapter Dimmesdale tells Hester to take off the scarlet letter. Right when Hester takes it off she feels amazing. She feels the beuty come back to her as she lets her hair down. The sun also notices her and it shines over her. Hester thinks that it is time to introduce Pearl to her father (Dimmesdale).
  • Conclusion

    When Hester and Dimmesdale had a plan to go to England, but it all feel apart when they had a holiday to selibrate the preists and they ask them, or tell them things and they will reply to you. And at the end of it Dimmesdale calls Hester and Pearl up and tells the community of there realashinship. Later Dimmesdale dies and Hester goes to England and eventually dies as well.
