  • 18 Amendment is Passed

    This Amendment banned the manufacture, sale, and transportation of acholohic drinks. This produced a new brand of gansters to come around in the United States, they would sell the acholoh to people who paid their high prices, Al Capone was one of these new gansters.

  • 19 Amendment ratified

    The 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote. This amendment help to end gender inequality. Women were able to vote in the 1920s electiocn after waiting over 100 years to recieve this right.

  • Mussolini Comes to Power

    Italy's King put Mussolini in charge of the government. Mussolini formed the Nations Fascist Party. When he was put in charge no one knew he was going to wind up being a powerful dictator.

  • Soviet Union was founded

    The Soviet Union was founded in 1922, when Bolsheviks seized power in Russia. The Soviet Union was were the Communist Party started to rise.

  • Joseph Stalin comes to power

    After the first leader of the Soviet Union died Stalin obtained power and improved the Soviet Union's economy greatly. He improved the economy by industrailing the Soviet Union rapiditly.

    The United States stock market crashes. This leades to the Great Depression, a time where many jobs were lost and people were poor.

  • Amelia Earhart flies solo across the Atlantic

    Amelia Earhart became the first women to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. After this flight she also became the first person ever to fly across the Atlantic twice. Amelia made way for women to get the same opportunities as the men did.

  • Roosevelt was elected President of the United States

    Franklin D. Roosevelt took office during the highest point of the Great Depression, President Roosevelt came up with the New Deal which would help stimulate the United States economy. President Roosevelt was also one of the "Big Three" leaders during World War II and helped control the war.

    When Aldolf Hitler became chancellor he established a fascist state of government which became popular in Germany. The rise of Hitler was the reason that the Nazi Party became so popular.

  • First Nazi Concentration Camp is opened

    The first prisoners arrive at the Nazi's first concentration camp called Dachau. This is the first of many camps to open and kill millions of people in inhumane ways.

  • Jesse Owens Wins 4 Gold Medals at the Berlin Olympics

    This event is significant because Hitler thought that African Americans were not human and he did not like that the United States decided to use "non-humans" in the Olympics. Jesse Owens also helped pave the way for other African Americans in the Olympics and help those athletes reach their dreams.

    This event was one of the first events in the Holocaust, this is also known as "The Night of Broken Glass". Nazis banged in windows of Jewish stores and burned down many synagogues.

    This is an important event because it was one of the first movies to be produced in color. The Wizard of Oz is a classic movie and it has iconic songs and the idea for the movie has been reused in many mordern movies.

    Germany invades Polland and this is the start to World War II. Two days later Great Britain and France declare war on Germany. World War II was an important event in world histroy and leaves behind many legacies.

    Japanese bombed the United States and sank the battle ship Arizona. This was the reason that the United States got involed in World War II.

  • D-Day Attack

    D-Day was a battle that happened on the coast of Normandy, France. The Allies planned a surprise attack on the Axis powers. This was one of the last battles fought in World War II.

  • President Roosevelt dies

    President Roosevelt was in the middle of overseeing the Manhattan Project when he dies. The Manhattan Project was to create the first atomic bomb. When he died his Vice Presdient, Harry S. Truman, took over the project and dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan later that year to end the Pacific War.

  • Mussolini died

    Mussolini was trying to escape the Allie troops in a military truck and the Allies found him in the back wearing a General's outfit. He was sentenced for execution along with other Fascist leaders and hung in the middle of the streets in Italy.

  • Adolf Hitler Dies

    Adolf Hitler comments sucide in an underground bunker in Berin. This is a major turning point in World War II.

  • World War II ends

    The end of the second war happens with Germanys unconditional surrender. This is when all fighting had been stopped and the treaty was being made.
