    On the 3rd of May, in 1898, Golda was born in the town of Kiev, Ukraine. Her parents names are Moshe and Bluma Mabovitch. At the age of 8 she moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her family.

    In Septemeber of 1917 Golda started attending the Teachers Training Academy in Milwaukee to further her knowledge of teaching. Before this Golda attended The Fourth Street School for her elementry education.     On December 24th, 1917 Golda and Morris Myerson have a small wedding in Golda's parents home. Right after the wedding Golda has to travel for Poalei Zion. Shortly after moving from Milwaukee to Palestine Golda and Morris have their first child, Menahem in 1924. The Myersens then move to Jerusalem and have their second child Sara.

    Woman Given Right to Vote in US
    On August 18th, 1920 woman are given the right to vote in the U.S. This is apart of the ratification of the 19th Ammendment, which is called the Womans Suffrage. Before this, woman did not have any of the rights men did, including not being able to vote, not be able to own any land and could not legally own money.After a long 70 years of trying woman are finally granted right to vote.

    Golda become Secretary of  the Woman Labor Council
    Golda is named Secretary of Woman Labor Council. David Remez recommendes Golda for this position. She kindly accepted this job amd moved to Tel Aviv with her children. Also at this time she and Morris had split because her work was constantly getting in the way. This position as Secretary was important because it allowed Golda to get her name out more for something she also believed in.This acted as another step in her rise to political power.     Ghandis Salt March
    On March 12th, 1930, Mohandas Ghandi and his followers started their journey to protest against the British policy of making salt out of seawater in India. This journey was 240 miles until they finally reached the town of Dandi. Ghandi was the leader of thousnads of people that stood up for this cause. Ghandi was arrested for this and was released in January 1931. In the end, India gained Independence in August 1947, with the help from Ghandis walk.

    In June, 1941 the Holcaust against Jews breaks out. The Holcaust was strongly advised by Adolf Hitler who killed millions of Jewish people during this time. Hilter created concentration camps which held thousands of Jews at a time for forced Labor. Often Jews would be worked to death because of working conditions or killed in a gassing chamber.     Israel becomes a country
    On May 14th, 1948 Israel becomes an official country. Israel was defined as a Jewish stated by the Soviet Union. Golda was one of the first 24 people to sign the Declaration of Independence. Golda was one of the two woman who were able to sign. This is important because Golda was seen supporting Israel's independence and trusted to sign the document.

    Israeli Ambassador to Soviet Union
    In June, 1948 Golda is named the first Ambassador to the Soviet Union for Israel. While she was only in office for Ambassador for a year, she still accomplished a lot. Golda made social welfare policies, provided adequate housing for immigrants and helped them find work. This is important because it showed Golda helped people of all kinds, even immigrants to Israel.

    Golda is Minister of Labor
    In 1949 Golda was asked to be Deputy Prime Minister by the current Prime Minister Ben Gurion. Golda declines this invite and decides she would be Minister of Labor instead. This is important because alot of the religious members of the block were very angry that a woman had been elected. During her time as Minster Labor she created large infrastrcuture projects. She was also involved in iniatiating the social legislation.

    In 1956 Golda became the Minister of Foreign Affairs. During this time Golda initiated Israels policy of cooperation. She also introduced the cooperation program based on Israels Development experience,that is still used today. She also developed relations with Latin America Countries and the United States.     On March 7th 1969 Golda is nominated the Prime Minister of Israel. She takes to office on March 17th 1969. Golda is the first woman to be leader of Israel and only the fourth person ever to be Prime Minister of Israel. This is important because a woman figure is finally named and respected as a trusted leader. Many people look up to Golda and see her as a trustworthy person of controlling Israel.

    On July 16th,1969 Apollo 11 had blasted off with 3 astronauts aboard. Of those three, Neil Armstrong was present, who was the first man to step foot on the moon. As Armstrong stepped off the rocket and onto the moon he said these famous words "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." This was the first time anyone has ever landed safely and successfully o the moon.
