The solution would be to find that new spark and reclaim one's own purpose (generativity). -
Satisfied
Claire has now retired from nursing and is settled down with her children and grandchildren. - Looking back at her decision to go back to stay at home and raise her children - then to return back to school and start a new life. She was satisfied with the decisions she chose . Erikson's 8th stage Ego integrity versus Despair. The crisis is with finding satisfaction with one's decisions in life (Ego integrity) or having regret on past decisions and not finding peace with the outcome (despair).
