  • The First Battle

    This was the first battle of the French and Indian War. George Washington defeated the french in a surprise attack. His troops retreated to Great Meadows and built Fort Necessity.
  • Albany Plan of Union

    Albany Plan of Union
    The Albany Plan of Union was a plan to make a more controlling government in the colonies. On July 10th, 1754 representatives from seven of the colonies liked the plan, but they never actually did the plan.   • Battle at Fort Duquesne, July 1755

    Battle at Fort Duquesne, July 1755
    The British general Braddock led the British troops through the wilderness to Fort Duquesne. Before the British got there the French and Indians surprised them. The battle took place in the woods a few miles from Fort Duquesne.   • The Battle of Lake George

    The Battle of Lake George
    On one early September morning British troops marched down Edward Road near the Lake George Fort. The French heard of the advance and ambushed the British. This did not go well for the British even though they won. During the battle King Hendrik died, and Colonel Williams died too after being shot in the head.   • Battle of Quebec

    Battle of Quebec

  • Treaty of Paris

    In 1763, the British won. In the Treaty of Paris the British had all of the land in North America east of the Mississippi River. To reward Spain for helping, France gave them New Orleans and Louisiana. Britain, who had taken Cuba and the Philippines from Spain, gave them back in exchange for Florida. The Seven Years War came to an end.
