  • Braddock's Defeat/Battle of Monongahela

    Braddock's Defeat/Battle of Monongahela
    Young George Washington and General Edward Braddock lead 1500 militia troops to seize Fort Duquesne. They slowly marched in formation and were suprised by the French and their Indian allies. In the end the British retreated and Braddock was defeated. In Braddock's command 950 out of 1400 men died or got very injured.   • The British Take Quebec

    The British Take Quebec

    The French are outnumbered in a surprise attack by the British lead by James Murray, Brigadier William Haviland, and General Jeffery Amherst. The French surrendered and the British got Canada.http://mrnussbaum.com/montreal/

    Finally after the British won the seven year war, the French and British made a treaty called the Treaty of Paris. It gave the British everything East of the Mississippi and Spain land West for their help to the French.     Pontiac's Rebellion/War
    The British would not give the Indians materials and after being offended by the British General Jeffery Amherst, the Indians were angry, especially Pontiac. Pontiac gathered the tribes together and they destroyed eight British forts.     King George the third reserved land west of the Allegheny Mountains for the Indians after their attacks. This made the colonists angry because they fought for the land and thought the King's proclamation was unfair.
