    The British fur trade post was where some of the Miami Indians were trading with the British. This post was attacked by French man named Charles de Langlade in 1752.     Battle of Monongahela
    The British marched in with 1,500 troops. The French and Indians combined were 930 troops. The Indians used tactics such as hiding behind trees and attacking on sides to triumph over the British. The British objective was to get to fort Dusquene and use cannon fire to win. The Indians stopped them.     The British were trying to win a fort named fort Duquesne. They had lost the fort and failed in their attempts to get it back. In another attempt (called the battle of Fort Duquesne ) the British once again failed to capture the fort.     The battle of the fields of Abraham
    The British won. Quebec was the capitol of New France. This was a huge blow to the French. After much waiting, the British commander, James Wolfe, found a passage up onto the hill above the st. lawrence river where Quebec stood. The battle was quick, and a win for the British.     The siege of Montreal was important because Montreal was the last large French city that needed to be captured by the British. The British, led by Jeffrey Amhurst, attacked the French, led by Pierre Pouchot. This resulted in a victory for the British. The French were armed with much less than the British.     The Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian war. The treaty stated that the French were not going to get any land in North America. It also stated that the Spanish were going to get land west of the Mississippi, and the British would get land east of the Mississippi.
