  • Albany congress

    Albany was expecting a war to break out soon, the British wanted the colonies to agree to cooperate in defending themselves against the French. The Iroquois refused to make an alliance, in part because the expected the french to defeat the British in a war!

    The Treaty of Paris is when the French and British had signed a Treaty for the French to lose and leave things. The French has lost almost all of its North American possessions. But that's all because of the French for taking it all from them.

    Pontiac's War

    When the French and Indian War was just ending, the leader of Ottawa nation, Pontiac, made an alliance of Western Native Americans. Later on, the British had finally beat the Pontiac's forces, but Pontiac still tried to stay at fight and kept going after the french. Even though they kept going, the had still lost that big fight.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Britain wanted to get away from the wars with the Native American's on the frontier. Therefore, the British government issued the Proclamation of 1763. That Proclamation in 1763 had angered lots of Colonist who believes they had the right to reside wherever they wanted.

  • Battle For Fort Ticonderoga

    This fort had stood at the Southern end of Lake Champlain and protected the water route to Canada. Ticonderoga had people from everywhere. Like by nearby Green Mountains of today's Vermont, only because they were called the 'Green Mountain Boy's." Fort Ticonderoga was important because it controlled two routes, the route to Canada and even Hudson River Valley.

    The Second Continental Congress came together in Philadelphia in May 1775. The delegates include Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin. In the Second Continental Congress, a group of delegates from New England wanted to declare independence, but a moderate group from the Middle Colonies favored less drastic action.
  • Battles of Bunker Hill

    In Battles of Bunker Hill, had a war between the British and the American's! The American's could have won this war but they had to retreat back home because they didn't have enough ammunition. So the British had 1,000 killed or wounded and the American's had 400 killed or wounded.
