George Washington fights against French and Indian forces at Fort Necissity in the Ohio RIver Valley. He is outnumbered and forced to surrender after his fort is flooded and his supplies ruined. This is the unofficial start to the French and Indian War. -

Pontiac's Rebellion Begins
With the number of pioneers moving onto the lands promised to the Native Americans by the English growing, a the Indians fight back. Ottawa chief Pontiac gathers tribes to fight with him and begins attacking settlements and forts along the frontier. -
Pontiac's Rebellion Ends
The tribes under Pontiac grow weary from fighting and eventually decide to leave. Pontiac can no longer sustain his fighting and must surrender.
