Stamp Act

Stamp Act accures. The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliment on March 22, 1765. The actual cost of the the Stamp Act was relativley small. Few colonists believed that they could do anything more than grumble and buy the stamps until the Virginia House of Burgesses adopted Patrick Henry's Stamp Act resolves.

Boston Massacre Starts. The Bsoton Massacre was the killing of five colonists by British regulars on March 5, 1770. The first British troops arrived in Boston in October 1768 and from then onwards there was continuous antagonism between the peoploe of Boston and those trying to enforce the kings rule.

The East Indian company seized 342 chests of tea in a midnight raid on three tea ships and threw them into the harbor.
