    My grandma, Louise was originally from Cologne, Germany, When she was 13 years old a bomb struck the movie theatre she was sitting in, and that was when she made the decsion to leave Germany as soon as she could. She took a 35 hour plane ride in 1951 to San Francisco and started her life. Since she didn't speak English it was hard for her to get a job, but eventually she got a job, and then was promoted and was able to start a family. She had three kids, and loves her amazing life in America.

    Micaela Garcia was born in a town known of poverty in Guajuato, Mexico. She had 6 other sisters living with her and her parents. They had barely any money, let alone anything to eat. Her boyfriend's, Francisco, parents invited Micki to America. She boarded a bus that took her and the rest to California. Nothing very thrilling happened besides her horrible nightmares. When her green card expired, she stayed with her boyfriend. They built their own house, found jobs, and lived their dreams.

    My father had come to America in 1982. He joined the Navy to earn money for his family. He was stationed in America for bootcamp, and it was there that he saw the beauty of America. Three years later after being stationed in Italy and getting married, he was stationed in America. There he made the decision to buy a home for his family and creat a future for them too.

    Rodolfo Gasacao
    Filipino native, Rodolfo Gasacao, immigrated to the United States in the year of 1987 with a immigrant visa in hand. In the Philippines, he was a professional mechanical engineer and he had no trouble finding a job. He lived in Georgia and LA until he was married in 1992. After his wedding, he and his wife, Sheila, moved to the bay area. From the years of 1994-1997 they had three children, James, Sofia, and Maria. By 2005, he and his wife obtained citizenship.
