The padded or puffed shoulder ran this era with sweetheart necklines. Oxford's and pumps were also a huge huge trend! Like the picture shows, a lot of women went for the knee length pleated skirt. photo credit: http://bribriboo.blogspot.com/2012/05/1940s-fashion.html

    1950's
Where do I even begin?! The 1950's were full of the best fashion trends, in my opinion. First of all, we can thank this era for the binki and fedora...which is my kinda style. They also rocked poodle skirts and the ever famous white Marilyn Monroe dress was put out. phot credit: http://www.vintagefashionclub.com/1950s-fashion.html

    1960's
Go-Go boots and box dresses ruled the 1960's. This was also a huge time for mini skirts, and bo-ho hippie looks. If you like bell-bottom jeans, tie-dye, and paisly prints, then this era is for you! photo credit: http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/1968%20dresses

The 80's were filled with neon and big hair! Leggings were also a big trend and women would pair them with big t-shirts. Krimping your hair and wearing pumps would put you at the top of the best dressed list. photo credit: http://lifestylefashion2013.blogspot.com/2013/03/80s-fashion-trends.html

90210 was a prime example of the trends of the 90's! Denim was a huge trend and so was floral print. They stuck with big hair and added a bit more baggy clothes. photo credit: http://josiesjuice.blogspot.com/2012/07/1990s-fashion-trends-music-madness.html

The era of the ponchos!! The year 2000 started off with mini skirts ugg boots and ponchos. There was also a big peak in gaucho pants. Let's just say, I'm glad we came a long way from that point! photo credit: www.bstmarket.com

    Today
Let's just say fashion is coming full circle today. They hollywood curled bob has definitely made a come back. Floral pants are also huge, but instead of bell-bottom style its skinny jean style. Lace and leather are also coming back, but the utmost trend is the legging and neon look. A must have today is the peplum top as shown in the picture. It goes with skirts, shorts, and skinny jeans. I must say, today's trends are taking the past and making it better! photo credit: http://madamenoire.com/
