    The new look was very steamlined with sharp angles and broad shoulders. Women tried to deempasize their femininity and look more masculine. They also paaded the shoulders in their clothes. Skirt length was just below the knee.

    Women wore nice dresses with lace and hats. Men wore elegant suits. Some however couldn't even afford shoes. At this point they were still dressing like it was the twentys, even though they could no longer afford it.

    French designer. her real name was Gabrielle Chanel. Her influence extended beyond her fashion. Her design was mainly jewlery, handbags, and Chanel no. 5.

    Skin was pale, rouge (blush), lipstick to brighten up their faces. Used artifical eyelashes even though it took hours to apply in a salon. The curling iron became an essential part of their routine. They often imitated Joan Crawford.
