    Was an era of beautiful clothes and the peak of luxury for a select few. A well known designer was Charles Dana Gibson who created the "Gibson Girl". Bicycling craze with tailored suits created for this purpose, Pastel silk sashes round young women's waists or tied in their hair, Huge picture hats piled with flowers, ribbon, and stuffed birds or feathers, Gibson Girl fashions inspired by artist Charles Dana Gibson were the latest fads.

    Rayon invented in 1910 as the first artificial fiber. It was introduced to common fashion in the late teens, but used by Chanel as early as 1915. Couture designer Paul Poiret's influence: Extremely narrow "hobble" skirts, Asian and MiddleEastern motifs and silhouettes, Turbans and feather-spiked bandeaux, Lampshade skirts (wired to the shape of a lampshade hung from the waist) ,Corsetless "liberated" women were the latest fads. Madeline Cheruit made cinema capes and evening skirts.

    Bobbed hair, showing your knees and rolled stockings were a scandelous change in fashion.Although society matrons of a certain age continued to wear conservative dresses, forward-looking and younger women now made sportswear into the greatest change in post-war fashion. Coco Chanel produced a silhouette that was casual and less constricitng.

    Hats of every shape and size were fashionable, and was a style that began in the previous decade. One novelty hat fashion was the 'doll hat', a miniature version of a ladies' hat worn by grown women for toyish effect.Shoulder pads occasionally reached wide, pointy, or hollowed proportions. Bonnie Cashin designed ready-to-wear-clothing in 1949 in New York.

    Bobby soxers(Peter Pan collared blouse, poodle skirt, scarf-tied ponytail, and saddle shoes),James Dean look-alikes, hoods, and motorcycle gangs, Modeling became a respectable job for young ladies (more), Super-fitted dresses for bombshell types called wiggle dresses, Cat-eye glasses, Beatniks, Barkcloth in casual wear, Ethnic scene prints in day and leisure wear were latest fads. Christian Dior created bell suit with tiny waists.

    Vera Neumann created beautifully bright prints most notably in silk scarves, but also on dresses & separates. Space-age fashions in vinyl and other synthetics, Bold, solid color contrasts from the Op Art movement, commonly called Mod fashions, Preppie fashions, including mohair sweaters and A-line skirts were latest fads. Pierre Cardin produced thigh high boots, collarless jackets and target emblazoned mini shift dresses in bright colors.

Wide and pointy "butterfly" lapels,Bellbottoms, flares, elephant bells and wide leg pants,Natural or ethnic styles of flower children and hippies,Polyester as the new staple fiber,Pantsuits latest fads.

Innovations were that Processing jeans for a distressed look became its own industry.

    1990s fashion trends was casual wears like blue jeans,with t-shirts.Tattoos and body piercings gained interest of many people which are still growing popular in the present.Tight fitting out wearsheavy jackets, leather pants were still a trend. Women also started wearing cowboy shoes.Black leggings were the most preferable outfit in 1990s fashion. Jacques Douce created elaborate gossamery dresses with pastel colors that shimmered in light.

    Men's clothing in early 2000's fashion included more sporty clothing as Adidas or Nike shorts, loafers, camp shirts and baseball camps etc were very popular. The early 2000's fashion included denim miniskirts, ponchos, sweat pants etc. Clothes in girly colors like gray, light blue, yellow and hot pink were very popular. V- Neck sweaters were also very popular. Fashion in late 2000's included printed leggings,long baggy shirts and skinny jeans.

    Menin 2010’s fashion gave importance to denim shirts, black leather jackets, flatcaps and acid wash jeans.The aviator sunglasses and converse shoes are still popular.Belts made of snake skin and glasses made of tortoise shell are likedby men.Straw hats and safari jackets are also an essential part of men's clothing.The American brands like Dooney, Gucci, Baby Phat and A&F are attracting the fashion conscious females in 2010’s fashion.
