The Victorian era had began around the 1840s. It had started in Great Britain, when Queen Victoria took over. This era was the time Britain had become the highest ruling country. This is also knownas the Gothic era for the 1840s.

During thie time, England was ruling fashion. This was mainly because of Queen Victoria, and her husband, King Albert. Most of the fashion was based off what both of them had worn.

During this time, brass instruments are becoming more apart of music, and in music stores. Also the piano becomes more of a household item, and most families have them.Theaters also were slowly becoming diverse.

Throughout the the 1840s, a lot had happened.In 1843, the first “wagon trail” of the Oregon Trail had branched off frrom Elijah’s White expedition, with 900 people participating.

During the Victorian ties, men's clothing was a lot more put togther than it is today. Men wore suits everday, and always had their hairslicked back. Duing this time, they got rid of powderd wigs, and heavy makeup.men would good skin care ad take care of acne and freckles, or other marks on the face.

This time, wigs and a ton of makeup was no longer defining beauty. People started going for a natural look, and use blush to accuente skin. both women and men had great skin care, and made sure it was clear. Women were modest and classy, and barely showed skin.
