Fannie grew up working as a slave on a plantation. All of ther family members were slaves.

In 1944 she married her husband which was also a slave Perry Hammer

In 1962 Fannie went to her first protesting meeting

On August 31 1962 Fannie and 17 others went to a court hose in Idaho to accomplish voting.

During that event Fannie got kicked of her plantation because she tried to vote Fannie spoke " That was one of the best moments of my life"

In 1963 Fannie was severely injured because she tried to vote. She suffered from bruises, scratches, and even kidney damage

Fannie was dingoes with breast canser. During this hard time she still began to fight for her rights.

Sadly on March 14 1977 she passed away in Mound Bayou Mississippi hospital.
