4543 BCE

Earth is formed

Earth is created through a planetary nebula where the sun is created around 4.543 billion years ago

4400 BCE

First Earth Cooling

The Earth starts to cool down after it's hot period where it is composed of lots of molten lava and volcanoes.

4100 BCE

Late Heavy Bombardment

A long lasting meteor shower occurs that hits the inner solar system including earth for about 4.1 to 3.8 billion years which are possible causes for the delivery of water and vital minerals to support life and causes for large craters.

3800 BCE

First Organisms Evolve (Prokaryote)

First organisms or Archaea evolve from underwater vents and are only extremely simple single cellular life around 3.8 billion years ago.

3000 BCE

First Multicellular Life (Eukaryote)

The first evidence of multicellular life is thought to be around 3 - 1.5 billion years ago with sponges being the key idea of what had evolved back then as multicellular, this is due to the tendency for cells to bond together to form complicated structures which allow a large form gather oxygen.

2400 BCE

Great Oxidation Event

Around 2.4 - 2.3 billion years ago, Cyanobacteria started to initiate photosynthesis which produced oxygen and filled the atmosphere with oxygen for the first time which helped the evolution of organisms as we know it.

450 BCE

First Land Animals Evolve

Animals were previously only in the water and were often either fish, sponges or types of trilobites which were like lobsters, until the Silurian period around 450 million years ago where animals started to evolve on land instead of just underwater.

400 BCE

Organisms Take Over the Land

From about 400 - 300 million years ago, trees and seeds evolve on the surface including insects which were the first to evolve wings and early reptiles.

300 BCE

Dinosaurs Evolve

The first dinosaurs evolve around the same time that reptiles evolve and, which spans through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, around 300 - 100 million years ago where plants get more complex and the Earth goes through periods of structure complexity.

250 BCE

Supercontinent, Pangaea is Created

The first known supercontinent called Pangaea forms around 300 - 200 million years ago where the Earth is one big continent.

199 BCE

Supercontinent Splits

Pangaea splits an forms Laurasia (Asia, North America, Europe) and Gondwana (Australia, Antarctica, Africa, South America)

55 BCE

Primates Evolve

Primates first appear 55 million years ago and slowly start to evolve into forms of apes that evolve into modern humans later on, and primates had just evolved only 10 million years after the dinosaurs got extinct from a meteor 65 million years ago.
