    The first newspaper was called the Boston News-Letter and it was published by, the postmaster of Boston, John Campbell. It was known in history as the first newspaper published continuously in America. It was a small sheet of paper with print on both sides. It had no competition until 1719 when the first issue of the Boston Gazette was published.

When he was in high school, Farnsworth started to develop the system that would take images, code them into radio waves and then transform that back into a picture that could be displayed on a television screen.

The first ever call on the new cell phone was to Dr. Joel S. Engel of Bell Labs, Martin Cooper's rival, probably to brag to him about his HUGE successful invention.

    Saehan Information Systems launched the first successful MP3 player in 1997. Saehan named it the "MPMan" and the South Korean company eventually licensed them so they could be sold in North America for distribution. They were licensed to Eiger Labs which eventually rebranded them as EigerMan F10 and F20.

    Netflix was launched in Scotts Valley, CA. Marc Randolph and Reed Hastings were the creators of the very successful movie/tv streaming program. In 2013, they started releasing self-commissioned originals, their first being House of Cards. In 2018, it was recorded that Netflix had almost 90,000 minutes of original content.
