    In 1891 Henry Ford, an industrialist had been hired at Edison Illuminating company. His skills allowed him to be promoted to lead engineer in just 2 years. With his talents, he started making plans for vehicles to build and built a horseless carriage which he had named the Ford Quadricycle.     Most Model T engines were powered by hand cranking it, this allowed the generator to start rotating to keep the engine going.     By the early 1920s, people were unsatisfied as it only came in 1 color, and had a max speed of 45 mph. Whilst at max speed, it was very bumpy and uncomfortable. By 1926, the production of the Model T had ceased. Then, in 1927, the Ford Model A had been released to the public. It had offered luxury, different colors and it had a top speed of 65 mph.     Jumping ahead, the 1941 Ford was a huge improvement from its predecessors. It had a Flat Base V8 Engine and it could reach up to 80 mph. It came in 7 different models including a pickup truck and a convertible. This car was the basis of the beginning of the Ford pickup truck series.     The Beginning of the Ford Pickup trucks
    By 1948, the ford 1st generation F-series was introduced. It was the first post WW2 pickup truck made by Ford. From 1948-1954 they made huge adjustments to the car. By 1952, they had retiled the truck bed making it wood from previously being all metal, relocated the 3-speed shift from the floor of the car to the steering column, and redesigned the grille bar to complement the headlights.     Currently, the Ford F-series trucks have been greatly improved from previous models. The 2016 Ford Super Duty now has 300+ more horsepower than its first generation (70 horsepower). The truck can handle up to 2 tons of weight in the cargo bed.
