    Evita Perón's Birth
    Eva Duarte de Perón, née María Eva Duarte, or Evita, was born May 7, 1919, Los Toldos, Argentina. Her parents were Juan Duarte and Juana Ibarguren, who were struggling financially. The two were not married when they had Evita. Her father had a whole other family, a wife and kids, while dating Juana and being her baby's father.

    On the 15th of January 1944, an earthquake took place in San Juan, Argentina, taking the lives of ten thousand people. Juan Peron decided to run a festival to raise money for the victims. He invited actors from radios and films. After a week of fundraising, Peron held a gala, in which he met Evita Peron, his future wife.

    October 22, 1945 Eva married Col. Juan Perón. Later in the year they married, Juan was taken into custody. He entered the presidential race after being released from custody. Evita was a part of the campaign, winning the adulation of the masses.

    In 1950, she fainted in public, originally being diagnosed with appendicitis, having her appendix removed. When she continued to grow weaker, they had her gynecologist take a look, they diagnosed her with cervical cancer.

    June 4, 1952, Evita supported her husband in the re-election, taking a triple dose of pain medicine and a special brace for her to stand right. A few days later, she was awarded the title of "Spiritual Leader of the Nation."

    Death of Evita Perón
    July 26, 1952 Evita died of cervical cancer. She was given a funeral, fit for the head of state. This was to show how much all of Argentina appreciated her.
