Dropping Highschool
In 1923, Eva dropped out of highschool when she was 16 and went to Buenos Aires to pursue her dream of becoming a star.
She had the same dream growing up as a child. That dream was becoming an actress. -
Her Father's Passing
Sadly, in 1926, Eva Perӧn’s dad died in a car accident. When that happened, the family struggled to keep everything going. With a good bit of help of Eva’s older siblings, everything got back to how it should. -
The Starting Of Her Dream
At Buenos Aires, she found work with a number of theater companies. In 1937, Perón landed her first film role in Segundos Afuera and got a contract to perform on the radio. She continued to work in stage productions as well over the next few years. -
Meeting Juan Peron
In 1943, she met Juan Peron. The Secretary of Labour and Social Welfare, who had ambitions to be president. At that time, he was working with the Argentine workers to support this bid. -
Getting Married
On October 21, 1945, she married Juan Perón. Juan then became president of Argentina the following year. Eva Perón used her position as first lady to fight for women's suffrage and improving the lives of the poor, and became a legendary figure in Argentine politics. -

Eva's Passing
Sadly, Eva died at the age of 32 on July 26 1952. Public grief was intense, and unprecedented in Argentina. Her precise role in Argentinian politics is still hotly debated, and her supporters and enemies battle it out to write her legacy. There is no doubt, however, that she was a remarkable woman who made her mark on history.
