This was a feindly Pact that the Hitler thought up so he could invade Poland without Soviet interference. The Pact says that they would not be aggresive to eachother and would trade information for common interests. This was supposed to last 10 years but Germany cut that short for Operation Barborossa. The secret terms of this Pact was that they would invade Poland and split it half and half.

After Hitler made sure Russia would not intervene with this assault, he invaded Poland with scary effeciency and within weeks the Capital was Germanies. The Polish military couldn't stand against the much more advanced German military. This angered Britain and France enough to start the second world war. The Soviet Union occupied the other half of Poland and on multiple occasions German and Soviet soilders met after the fighting.

The French did not defend France because of its cultural significance and the destruction would be regretful. This was a vengeful victory as he avenged his loss to France in WW1 within less than an hour.

Despite the treaty with Stalin, Hitler now had his eyes on Russia. He would fortuanatley underestimate Russias ability to defend. Russia had 1,000,000 less infantry which led the Germans to expect a win within 3-4 months. Stalin didn't want this war which he felt unequipped for. The invasion cut through weak defences with impressive yet not enough resistance. The Soviets had recovered and when fighting carried on into winter, the Germans were unprepared and froze into defeat.

Pearl Harbor was an American Naval base. We were not in the war but we did give the allies some help. We were completely unprepared and we lost many more men than they did so technically it was a succsess yet still a stupid move because don't screw with America.

This was a trap for the Japanese but the Japanses retreated before springing it. The japanese killed multiple American fighter units but the topedo bombers made it though and destroyed 4 out of 6 Japanese aircraft carriers which heavily damaged the Japanese Air Force.

As the Germans retreated in the East, America and Britain commenced massive bombing raids over Hamburg. The bombs started a firestorm. 5 days of bombing killed 42,000 and weakened German morale.

Stalingrad was greeted with the largest German bombing run yet which killed 40,000. This turned Stalingrad into an urban jungle of soviet guerrilas which immobilized needed German tanks. Close quarters was common with the enemy lines 20 meters away. When winter came, the Germans were not outfitted enough to stand a chance in the cold. Food became the Germans only concern. Operation Barborossa was reversed ithrough Stalins orders, "Not a step back".

This was an attack on Germany by Britain and America. The idea was brought up by Stalin and despite the massive casualties it was a succsess. This led to the liberation of France.

This was the last German offensive. The plan was to divide the allied forces and encircle them and then reach a peace treaty that was axis freindly. The allies were very unprepared and would have lost if the weather didnt clear up for allied air support. Germany now was in bad shape.

This was a bombing run on Dresden which was one of Germanies last highly operational cities. The simple objective was to clear the way for the Soviets and after killing a third of the inhabitants it proved succsessful

For 72 days Americans bombed the small Japanese base. The Japanese had a lot smaller army and this was the first attack on Japanese territory. Which tilted the Pacific war against the axis.

This was the last major campaign in the Pacific. It lasts 82 days and 75,000 Japanese were killed and 65,000 Americans were killed. THe invasion was succsessful.

The Japanese surrender was celebrated all around the world. The Chinese especially. Even the Japanese were happy that their war thirsty leaders are replaced with newer and more democratic leaders.
