On the 30th of January 1933 the German President Paul von Hindenburg gave Adolf Hitler position as chancellor of Europe, soon later on March 25th Hitler would seize power over Germany and push Hindenburg aside.

The Germans begin to invade Poland, reaching the capital of Poland known as Warsaw. The Polish Warsaw Army entrenched at the capital left them and the Germans to fight until the Polish surrendered on the 27th.

On this day after the Germans invaded and took over Poland, the Soviet Union invaded that country in the east. It was an operation sixteen days after the Germans and had a major battle with them, ending with Germany and the Soviet Union annexing their shares of Poland.

Also known as the Battle of Britain, was an attempt by the Germans to use their Lutwaffe, or German air force, to bomb the Royal Air Force. However, they bombed London instead and left the air force unharmed by the bombs. After the many air raids in Britain, on September 27 the British won the Battle along with destruction in London.

Germany conquered the countries Yugoslavia and Greece in the same day, as the Germans put pressure on them to join the Axis and began capturing and killing civilians.

Allied troops were sent to Greece to defend them from German troops. However, the Battle of Crete was between Allies and Greece forces in the Island of Crete against Hitler's air force. The battle was costly and forced remaining Allies soldiers out of Greece, giving the Germans a victory.

Operation Barbarossa, as the Germans referred to it, was a secret plan to invade the Soviet Union and move their blitzkrieg forces into Leningrad and Moscow. However the Russian Winter made the invasion impossible and many Germans died in the cold, just like Napoleon's Grand Army in 1812. Operation Barbarossa failed horribly for Hitler.

The invasion of France, or the return of France, that the Allies decided on. Most Allies arrived on the beach by boats who face enemy obstacles and defenses, as paratroopers from planes land behind enemy lines. The Allies managed to breach the defense and take back France.
