World War I begins
The first World War begins. At the time, the war was known as the "Great War". WWI started with due to Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife being assassinated. The war was a huge suprise at the time. -
World War 1 ends
World War 1 finally is ended. The war ended because of the lack of recourses. In the end, the Axis surrendered to the Allies, whom had more recources. At the end of the war, Germany was out of money and went into a crisis of poorness. -
Great Depression
The Great Depression occured. The Great Depression was a period of time where recourses were low. The Great Depression was a hard time on Europe and the US. Luckily, it only lasted 10 years. -
Hitler is chancellor
Adolf Hitler becomes the chancellor of Germany. Hitler was a big part of WWII. He also was the leader of the Nazi army. Adolf Hitler is one of the most greatly dispised men in history. -
World War II begins
The second World War begins. The war began with the Nazis pushing their offence. The Nazi army, lead by Hitler, were trying to enslave the Jewish people. The Nazi army were begining to push and cross the lines. The war started when Germany invaded Poland. -
World War II ends
The second World War ends. In the end, the Nazis were outnumbered and surrendered. The surrendering occured due to Adolf Hitler commiting suicide. The Nazis were defeated by the Allies. The Allies had them outnumbered, and there was no leader of the Nazi Army. -
Cold War(No date)
The Cold War begins. The Cold War started when the Soviet Union allied with East Germany. East Germany and the Soviet Union were both communist, and were fighting against the democratic countries. East Germany and West Germany were split by the Berlin Wall, and were both different governments. -
End of the Cold War
The Cold War ended when the Soviet Union fell. The leader of the Soviet Union, Gorbachev, retired. The Soviet Union is what is now known as Russia. When the Soviet Union dispanded, East and West Germany were reunited. Thus, marking the end of Communism in Russia and Germany. -
European Union
The European Union was formed in 1993. The European Union, or EU, is an alliance between multiple countries in Europe. The Ukraine protests began while trying to join the EU. The EU consists of Norhtern Ireland, the British Isles, France, Denmark, Finland, and Germany. -
"The Euro"
On December 16, 1995, the Euro was adopted by Europe as the official currency. Each 1.39 Dollars, the currency of the US, is equal to one Euro. The Euro is divided into 100 cents. As of now, 30 countries use the Euro. -
Iraqi War
War started in Iraq. The war was started by attack from the US. Iraq was said to be holding dangerous weapons. The war took place to protect the world from any more bombings. -
Ukraine Protests
On this day, Ukraine started protests and got violent with it. It all started due to the ties between Russia and Ukraine. The citizens wanted to become a part of the EU, but the president denied it. The protesters want to end the ties with Russia, but it has been denied.
