This was crucial to her career beginning and landed her many roles soon after.

    In 2009, Emma modeled alongside her film career. She quickly became the new face of Burberry and later modeled for other companies as well. As stated in an interview with Emma written in The New York Times Style Magazine, this was Emma's way of "establishing a public identity for herself separate from the brainiac character of Hermione Granger" (Self).

  • The Perks of Being a Wallflower

    Link text As the Harry Potter series came to a wrap, Emma worked on many different films. One of her biggest hits was starring in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, where she played Sam. This movie was important in her career, because it was a change from her classic Hermione character. Since her first Harry Potter interview, Emma has matured and grown into a respectable young woman.

She took a gap year in order to continue filming Harry Potter, but this accomplishment is another reason added to the list as to why Emma is such an inspirational woman.

  • Becoming a UN Goodwill Ambassador

    Emma was given the honor of becoming a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. This role was essential to her beliefs and is a large accomplishment in her life. On the UN Women's website, Emma stated "women’s rights are something so inextricably linked with who I am, so deeply personal and rooted in my life that I can’t imagine an opportunity more exciting. I still have so much to learn, but as I progress I hope to bring more of my individual knowledge, experience and awareness to this role.”

  • Beauty and the Beast

    Link text Most recently in her career, Emma will be playing the role of Belle in the new version of Beauty and the Beast, set to release on March 17th, of 2017. In the future Emma will most likely be set to play a variety of new roles as her career develops even further.
