    In 2009, Emma modeled alongside her film career. She quickly became the new face of Burberry and later modeled for other companies as well. As stated in an interview with Emma written in The New York Times Style Magazine, this was Emma's way of "establishing a public identity for herself separate from the brainiac character of Hermione Granger" (Self).

This movie was important in her career, because it was a change from her classic Hermione character. Since her first Harry Potter interview, Emma has matured and grown into a respectable young woman.

    Emma was given the honor of becoming a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. This role was essential to her beliefs and is a large accomplishment in her life. On the UN Women's website, Emma stated "women’s rights are something so inextricably linked with who I am, so deeply personal and rooted in my life that I can’t imagine an opportunity more exciting. I still have so much to learn, but as I progress I hope to bring more of my individual knowledge, experience and awareness to this role.”
  • Beauty and the Beast
