    Ellen Pompeo was born and grew up in Boston with 5 older siblings. Her mother died at the age of 4. Due to the terrible loss of her mother, she has appreciated life so much more and lives it to the fullest. Before acting she was a bartender that hustled money out of people. Two years later, she started her acting career ("Ellen Pompeo").

    Ellen starts her biggest career job yet. She is a co star in the television show Grey's Anatomy. She began dating her husband (Chris Ivery) and was unsure of his reaction to the love scenes she did in the show. In her personal life, Ellen values her relationships and respects the feelings of others.

This shows how open minded Ellen is on life and wants her children to know being different is good.

    A major goal in Ellen's life is her campaigns for people in need. In 2011, she sponsored the Huggies campaign to give every child a diaper and years later, she is back at it. She is raising money for those who were effected by the bombing of the Boston Marathon ("Ellen Pompeo on The Ellen"). She cares deeply about helping others. She donates and raises money for great causes. This shows she is a very kind and caring humanitarian.

She feels she has succeeded in acting and wants to challenge herself in other ways (Wieselman). This reveals that acting isn't Ellen's whole life and she is a risk taker. Being outgoing and pushing herself to succeed is why she is where she is today,
