  • "The Big Swallow" James Williamson

    "The Big Swallow" James Williamson
Supposedly known as A Photographic Contortion, was a comedic film directed by James Williamson in 1900. Chosen example of an up close shot in films. To bring action to the camera, not by moving the camera but bringing the character (Sam Dalton), action towards the camera. A strange, and unintentionally filmed, but this emotional simplicity would inspire newer films at the time to bloom.
