Theodor Seuss Geisel was born.
He was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield Massachusetts. He was born to his two loving parents, Theodor Robert Geisel, a superintend of forest park zoo, and Henrietta Seuss, who was a Bavarian immigrant and then worked at a family bakeshop. -
Graduating Collage
After graduating from Dartmouth College in 1925. He attened at Oxford University, intending to acquire a doctorate in literature. -
Dr. Seuss got married to his first wife Helen Plamer.

He then served (1942–46) in the U.S. Army during world War 2. He was assigned to the documentary division. where in In 1945 he wrote Your Job in Germany. -
The book Horton Hears A who was published.
On August 12, 1954 the book was published. Dr. Seuss wrote Horton hears a who to portray the message of kindness. He also wanted kids to learn to believe in themselves. In the story the elephant named Horton finds a dandelion with a hole word of Who-ville. He hears them yelling and know its real but no one else can hear them so get made fun of. Horton believes in them so much that he protects them at all coast and doesn't let the other animals get in his head. -
The book the Cat in the Hat got published.
The Cat in the Hat, Dr. Seuss's best-known book, was his 13th published children's . He wrote it in response to a critic in life magazine that criticized children reading levels.A man named Houghton Miffin asked him to write a book using 220 words or less. it was published in March of 1957, and it immediately very popular. -
Dr.Suess's Frist movie, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
Several of Dr. Seuss’ children’s books have been transformed into full-length feature animated films, both during his lifetime and after his death. In 1966, with the help of, cartoonist Chuck Jones, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas was made into an animated film for TV. -
First Wife takes her own life
in October of 1967 Dr.suess's first wife, Helen Geisel took her own life because depression consumed her. her depression came from Theodore having an afire with a family friends Audrey Stone Diamond. -
He got married to his Second wife.
Theodore got married to his second wife, Audrey Diamond, the one he was having an afire with, on June 21, 1968.After Helen had already killed herself only 8 mouths ago. Audrey was a great inspiration to many of his later written books ans movies, including The Lorax, Horton hears a who, and Daisy- head mayzie. They were married till there deaths. -
The death of Dr.Suess
Dr. Seuss died on Spetmeber 24,1991. He died of oral cancer, in his own home. -

The winners of the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award, are recognized for their literary and artistic achievements that demonstrates creativity and imagination to encourage children to read, winners receive a bronze medal. The award was established in 2004 and first presented in 2006. -
Huge sales
In the year 2013, Dr.Seuss book, Green Eggs and Ham sold more then 700,000 copies in the untied states. The Cat in the hat also sold more then 500,000 copies. Showing he was still popular after his death, and is still very popular 27 years later. -

You’ve got to keep moving forward and progressing because there are plenty of things in the world to discover. He was in encoring kids at such a young age, not to focus on the past or negative things because there so much to loom forward to in the future. -

This applies to all of us, its so easy to want to fit in with everyone or change yourself to be like someone else. but everyone is important in there own way. I are up knowing this quote, even though he died a long time ago, he still has a lasting impact on teenagers to this day. -

Dr. Suess wrote children's book to encourage kids to read. he created stories and pictures to get kids more excited about reading and that stil stands to this da. this quote represents his love of encouraging kids to want to learn.
