Planet savers
semirah arrives at Miami airport where she foreshadows some of the people that will come to some importance in the story. She talks about Arnie, miranda, and some other slightly important people like owl like girl along with the two planet savers organizers. All of these people have some importance later on in the story. Here at the airport semi gets on the plane and finds a seat next to miranda,who semi thinks looks and acts really cool, this plane will be one of the most important elements -
Plane downed
After falling asleep on the plane (with her contacts on) semi wakes up to a loud commition in the cockpit. She sees miranda taking her shoes of and putting things in her pocket so semi starts doing the same when the cockpit door opens after a loud bang inside semi sees a strange man and her and miranda move to the back of the plane, it goes in a nose dive and pulls up just in time to belly land in the water everyone gets out and in a raft exept for arnie miranda and semi they swim the other away -
The island
After the crash they are thrown around by the waves and the explosion and semi hits her knee on a rock. Semi fallows miranda and they make it to the island and wait until the morning to introduce eachother. Arnie and miranda were arguing when semi woke up. They were debating on the course of action for the days to come. They start working on food, water, and shelter and arnie even builds a raft but before they can set out arnie just happens to go missing and miranda and semi are stuck, alone. -
The Doctor
After being alone on the island for a while they decided to climb the small waterfall where they found a passage. They found the machette arnie had and went inside where they found a whole civalizationinside so they went in. Men with guns instantly came in a jeep they captured them and then they awoke inside cages where Dr.skinner took them out and into the zoo of animals with human body parts. Skinner had taken them to Dr. Franklin who had told them that the thing he does is genetic engineering -
Experaments
Dr. Franklin tells the girl what is going to happen to them. They are going to be turned into a bird and a fish person. Dr. franklin is going to change their genetics and make them into creatures they beg him not to but he is a mad man and so is skinner but skinner tries to help them escape but franklin knows what skinner is up to and catches him in the act. The girls are taken back into their cages and they give up trying to escape they know their fate and accepts it. Semi chooses the fish. -
changes
When they wake up from the procedure they are together in what looks like a hotel room. This is where dr.franklin is going to keep them until he needs to move them when their changes begin to get big. Semi had to watch as her friend was slowly changing growing new bones and losing teeth semis changes didn't come until after miranda was out of the room and then semi begann with the gills. She started getting weak without miranda to encourage her and she was getting worse not getting up any more. -
New bodies
After feeling weak for so long semi starts sleeping mor and before she knows it she wakes up in a tank. She feels no arms or feet when she trys to kick her whole body moves and she glides through the water and she loves to feel like she if flying. Then she questions why their is a cage above her when she sees a shadow glide over her, It is miranda. Semi cant talk and neither can miranda they just look at eachother in silence. Semi starts to realize that they are seperated and she hates it. -
Radio telepathy
Though semi and miranda could not talk in animal form they can comunicate in a somewhat human state through telepathy. They were given micro chips that let them comunicate whenever they called each others names. When they heard their name from each other they were teleported into their minds and they were in human form with a white empty void suronding everything. They talked for the first few days once they figured it out but after a while they stopped because being "human" made it worse. -
escape plan
Dr. skinner came to semis pool after miranda had been taken away he was giving semi the antidote to the transfusion. He dropped the tablet of antidote and told semi how the escape was going to work out. He told her that him and arnie would be waiting at the jetty for her at nightfall. He told her how they were going to have to leave miranda there until they could gather up a search party. Semi didn't know if she could trust skinner or arnie even if it was the real arnie. -
success
Semi had escaped and started swimming toward the jetty and after some time she fell asleep. When she woke up she kept swimming when all of a sudden her arms came out and when she kicked her legs she could feel them moving. When she had finally made it to the jetty she had inspected the boat saw no one and got on board, but out came dr.franklin. He grabbed her and then took her to the compound. This wasn't her last attempt and during one attempt dr. franklin dies and they are free to go home. -
Premise
This book takes place in a few places but the main one is on Dr. franklins island. The main character is Smirah or semi. Other people that are main characters are Anie,Mranda D. Franklin,and Dr. Skinner. Semi ,Miranda , and arnie are stranded on an island after a plane crash and then captured and experimenter on by Dr. Franklin. The reason I chose this book was because Ineeded a book to read and the title sounded intaresting. -
Reflection
Though this book wasn't my genra I liked a lot and it was surprisingly intaresting. If there was a movie on this book I would definutly watch it, it has a great plot and i would like to see how the creatures would turn out if they were in real life. I would reccomend this book to a friend because even if you don't like the genra it grows on you and over time you start to enjoy all of the twists and turns of this great story. This book was great and I really enjoyed reading it.
