    Pearl Harbor was attacked at 8 a.m by 100s of Japanese aircrafts. It initiated the war between the allies and non allies. The battle was very deadly for the American side. After 6 months America came back and defeated the Japanese.

    Roosevelt signs the Executive Order 9066 10 weeks after the bombing of pearl harbor. By June more than 110,000 Japanese Americans are relocated to interment camps. For the next 2 in half years the Japanese had an extremely difficult time with living conditions and got poor treatment by the military guards. December 17th 1944 General Henry C. Pratt issued the no. 21 for the Japanese Americans to return back to there homes on jan. 2, 1945.

Almost 16 square miles of Tokyo and around the Japanese capital were destroyed. about 80,000 and 130,000 Japanese people were killed in the worst single firestorm in recored history. Planned a low-level bombing attacked on Tokyo. Theres a twist before they bombed Tokyo they had their plane stripped of guns everywhere except the tail ect.

    The raid was a group of 80 men in Tokyo and they were volunteer and it was a dangerous mission to do. They were to fly over japan and drop their bombs and land part of China that was still free. The months following the bombing of pearl harbor it was the darkest of the war. The U.S. military was caught off guard and was forced to retreat and losing a lot of there men.

    The Allies landed in the Philippine islands in Oct.1944. Japanese successfully got rid of the U.S. with the third fleet and they had a decoy. The U.S. used the seventh fleet and it destroyed one of the Japanese forces and the second one to withdraw. The Allied forces at Leyte and much of its surfaces fleet destroyed in battle.

    After the Allies captured the Japanese controlled territories in the pacific the U.S. soldiers attacked the Japanese home island. there was about 20,000 Japanese holding firm against 110,000 Americans. After the fiercest battles of the pacific, American soldiers capture Iwo Jima on March 26, 1945. all most all the Japanese defenders are killed or missing.
  • First Atomic Bomb Dropped

    First Atomic Bomb Dropped
    An American B-26 bomber dropped the world's first atomic bomb over Japanese city of Hiroshima. The explosion wiped out 90% of the city. It killed 80,000 people immediately and 10,000 more would later die of radiation exposure. After the bomb hit Nagasaki, it killed an estimate of about 40,000 people.

    Japan announced that they have surrendered. Ever since they surrendered, Aug. 14th & 15th were knowns as "Victory over Japan Day. It also been used for Sep. 2, 1945 when Japan officially surrendered. Several months after Nazi Germany surrendered.
