    In November Buell was ordered as Brigader Generaol to move to Ohio to lead a regiment there. Then later he was sent to several other places until finally ending with Nashville Tennesse where, against orders, he captures it with very little oposition.

    Battle of Shiloh
    During the battle of Shiloh, Buell came to Grant's aid by brining in reinforcments of 20,000 men and won. Buell being selfish, said he won the battle and not Grant. Though seeing how Buell's men were only reinforcments, one can make an arguement that he didnt do much but back up Grant since he made the initial push.

    Buell went into Athens Alabama to raid the town, and as he did the Union troops under his order incidentally hurt some civilians and Buell, being a "southern sympathizer" to some, got angry and charged several soldiers.

    While still mostly under Halleck, Buell took four or five divisions to Chatanooga to fight Conferderate forces there, but ran into issues when supply trains ran slim due to Conferderate sabotage.

    Buell was to be replaced by Maj. Gen. Thomas, but Thomas refuses and stays with his command, leaving Buell in charge still of the Ohio troops he had before.
