Shawnn examined animal tissue under a microscope. He then discovered by looking at animal tissue that all animals are made of living cells and then discovered all living things are made of living cells. -

First discovered sperm and eggs are also cells. First scientist to look at cells from under a microscope closely. He stated that not all organisms can be seen with the human eye. -
Rudolf Virchow
1855:
Virchow said that not every plant are made of a cell or cells, this is a major part in the Modern Cell Theory. He stated that all living things come from other living things, saying that all living cells come from other living cells. -
