In The Necklace Madame Loisel was hoping to get married to a rich guy cause she's a gold digger. But she got married to a clerk instead. -
The Letter
One day when Madame Loisels' husband came home and had an invitation to a party her husband expecting to make her happy, she's ungreatful and she cries because she doesnt have anything "nice" to wear. -
The Necklace
Madame Loisel doesn't have anything "nice" to wear, because she doesn't want to be seen as poor. So she goes to her friend and borrows a diamond necklace. -
The party
Madame Loisel doesn't feel like a poor person at the party because of the necklace and everyone stares at it and con't keep their eyes off of it. Later that night when Madame Loisel leaves the party, she realizes that she had lost the necklace. Her husband had gone out to look for it but they had no luck finding it. Her and her husband wanted to replace the diamond necklace that they had lost. So her and her husband had gotten loans and her husband signed notes to pay everyone back. -
Ten Years Later
Ten years later, Madame Loisel had seen the friend that she had borrowed the necklace from and told her how she had lost the diamond in the necklace and replaced it with another diamond, Her friend laughed and told Madame Loisel that the diamond was a piece of plastic with a glossy finish.
