*Deborah Sampson had to move away from her mother when she was 5 years old. She went to live with Miss Fuller. After, she went to live with Mrs. Thacher. Then, she went to live with the Deacon Thomas Family as a servent.

The army that Deborah joined was the 4th MA Regiment of the Continental army. She was a continental soldier. Her name was Robert Shurtliff.

When the army found out that she was a girl she was honorably dischared on October 25th, 1783 by General Henery Knox.

Deborah was married to Benjamin Gannet. They had four children and lived in this house in Sharon Mass.
