Daniela Di Toro is an Australian Paralympic Athlete that competes in Wheelchair Tennis. -
Daniela started playing tennis when she was 9 years of age.
-
In 1988, Daniela was at her School Swimming Carnival, when a wall fell on top of her. It damaged her legs so badly that she now has to spend her whole life in a wheelchair. While Daniela was in hospital, following her accident, she met Sandy Blythe, a member of the Australian Rollers. He inspired her to continue to play sport.
-
After her talk with Sany Blythe, Daniela started to play tennis again, but since she was paralised and needed to be in a wheelchair she played Wheelchair Tennis.
-
Daniela's special career began in 1989, where she started representing Australia.
-
1991 was Daniela's glorious celebration of winning the Australian Open for the first time. It put so much faith inside of her to continue this sport. She felt so proud and thought about how lucky she was, and decided she was going to take this a whole lot further.

2007 was a big change for Daniela. Two years after retirement she came back and started training hard. She made a huge comeback.
-
Unfortunately Daniela's comeback wasn't big enough to win anything in the 2008, Bejing Paralympics. She didn't train hard enough, which is understandable since she only had a year to do so.

Sadly, Daniela failed to complete the Japanese Open. During one of her games she got a very inflamed neck.
-
Because of her inflamed neck, Daniela did not get a chance to compete in the Korean Open.
-
In 2011, Daniela's inflamed neck triggered her again, and because of this reason she had to pull out of the French Open.
